Scion VIP @ NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Fall Nationals
Over 140 Scion owners participate in the east coast finale of the Scion VIP series of owners events

The leaves and the temperature may have been falling for the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Fall Nationals, but there certainly was no drop in excitement. That was especially true for the 148 Scion owners and their guests that were invited to take part in the Scion VIP event taking place in conjunction with the Fall Nationals at Englishtown, NJ's famed Raceway Park.

The cool northeast air fanned record-breaking performances from the nation's top sport compact drag racers, including those of the Scion Racing team – Brad Personett, Chris Rado, Kenny Tran, and Leslie Durst-Armendariz. Of course, the drag racing action wasn't just limited to the Raceway Park quarter mile track; as a part of the Scion VIP event, all owners had the opportunity to experience the thrill of drag racing first hand through unlimited runs on Raceway Park's 1/8 mile track. Needless to say, almost all the Scion VIPs took advantage of the track time in between enjoying the catered food, comfortable seating, and plasma-equipped environment of the Scion VIP hospitality lounge.

Team Scion Racing members Chris Rado and Kenny Tran both stopped by the VIP lounge to greet owners and their guests. Rado even stayed on to host the ever popular Scion VIP product giveaway. Thanks to product sponsors Konig Wheels, Advanced Clutch Technology, SPC Performance, Meguiar's, Jada Toys, and Scion, over two dozen owners drove home happier – as winners of a selection of goodies ranging from car care products to toys to a performance clutch; owner and ScioNRG team member even scored a set of 17" wheels from Konig for his Black Cherry Scion xA.

The giveaways weren't limited to products though, hardware in the form of thirty five trophies were handed out for the special Scion-exclusive Scion VIP car show categories as well as the top performers in the 1/8-mile drag racing activities. The event, which represented the last Scion VIP event this season on the east coast, wrapped up the show and go season on the east coast on a high note. With the winter season fast approaching, Scion owners on the right coast are already counting the days before spring - and future Scion VIP events - arrive.

Registration is now closed and the time has finally come for us to announce the winners of the NHRA Fall Nationals Englishtown event.
