Scion VIP at the NHRA Sport Compact Fall Nationals
The Scion VIP event at the NHRA Sport Compact Fall Nationals was a perfect way to spend a beautiful autumn day in the northeast. Over 115 Scion xAs, xBs, and tCs lined the Scion VIP area and over 275 Scion guest joined us in a full day of activities at the legendary Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.
Besides checking out what other Scion owners are doing to their cars or finally putting a face to a forum username, Scion VIP guests got to participate in all the other activities that are a part of the Fall Nationals, including a giant low rider and import car show, the manufacturers midway, a extreme sports display, and live musical performances and a bikini contest on the Sony Xplod stage. The main event though was on the famous Raceway Park Ό mile track, where the worlds quickest and fastest sport compact racers were zooming by at speeds of over 200 mph and covering the distance in less than 7 seconds. That includes Scion racer Brad Personett, who raced to the semifinal round in his Titan Motorsport tC and is looking good to be the 2005 champ with only one race left. Best of all, Scion VIP owners had a trackside seat to see all the action from the VIP area.
In between all the action, over 60 lucky winners received great prizes in our two giveaway sessions and many, many more mouths were fed at the VIP grill. Thanks to our product sponsors, the prize list included huge 1:6 scale Jada Toys Scion xB R/C rollers, GT Spec strut and chassis bars, Shining Monkey car care products, Urban Racer Apparel T-shirts, and many, many Scion and TRD accessories. The VIP grill served up many tasty plates of cheeseburgers, BBQ chicken, and hot dogs to those who worked up an appetite walking and talking all morning. There was even a group photo op to capture the event.
The winning wasnt limited to the giveaways though. All VIP guests Scions were automatically entered in a fun Scion-only car show. Towards the end of the day, after all the judging sheets were in, the trophies, cash prizes, and custom embroidered Scion jackets (*at least the IOUs the jackets will be tailored for size and sent out later) were handed out to 10 Scion owners in four categories (xA, xB, tC, and Best Scion). All in all, it was a great day of Scion fun at the track.
Thanks to all those who took the time out to join us!
